  • Shaheen Air International Limited (SAI) is established as a public limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984. It is mandated to carry on business of air transportation of passenger and cargo. It commenced its operations as the first Pakistani private airline in December, 1993. It is the largest Private airline in Pakistan.

Shaheen Air Hanger is only the second hanger built in Pakistan. The first one being PIA’s Isphani Hanger at Karachi airport. This hanger was constructed with the help of American Airline engineers and the main plane area was imported from USA, which was also prefabricated and completely waterproofed. The two adjacent structures to the main hanger were constructed locally using T-roof structure connected with RCC on one side. To waterproof these two structures BUILDING COMFORTS was asked to provide the proposal which was cost and time effective.

Building Comforts' team came up with the following solution

We used specially designed high strength acrylic coating imported from Malaysia with thin but flexible white non-woven fabric for joint sealing. The construction joint between RCC structure and Double T was treated using Polysulphide (UAE), a chemical which can expand to 1.5 times its own width thereby blocking the passage of rain water into the building. This substrate was subsequently double sealed with GS201 (Greenseal Flexi 201).
